Glove Sales Lists

BACKGROUND

I put out these sales lists twice a year to check in with the hobby. It’s kind of a throwback to the earlier days of our hobby when we all looked forward to getting a glove sales list, any list. The purpose is to shake a few things loose and get people to interact more by having some gloves change hands. When the hobby gets static or stagnant, we all get a little restless and need something to do or something to talk about. These lists are intended to be fun. Put yourselves out there and make some deals. Contribute gloves for future lists and you’ll meet more people. There are some truly great people in this hobby.

The gloves contained within these lists above belong to other collectors. They are their gloves, their descriptions and their prices. They are in their possession, not mine. I just use my mailing list as the vehicle to put the word out.

These lists are intended to give collectors an alternative selling platform without any fees.  It doesn’t cost anything to sell on these lists.  You provide the pictures, descriptions and prices and I’ll do the rest.

Please register on the home page if you would like to be on the master hobby contact list and receive future sales lists. I do them twice a year – Opening Day and Game 1 of the World Series.

Sales List Rules

Ownership of Gloves

Each glove contained within is still in the hands of that collector. I don’t have any of their gloves in my possession (just the few that are mine, if any).

Seller Contributions

They contributed their own pics, their own prices and their own descriptions in their words. I’m just the facilitator, builder and the guy with the master hobby list.

Shipping Policy

Domestic shipping is included. The sellers know the policy and should not charge for domestic shipping.

How to Purchase

If you are interested in something, send me an e-mail immediately with the name of the glove and the page # of the PDF. The page # is either on the top of your browser or on the sidebar.

Email Response Process

E-mails will be answered immediately in the order received as I will be refreshing my e-mail (Outlook) constantly. I work from the bottom up and reply as fast as humanly possible. No time for anything else. Sorry to be brief in my replies but I don’t take my hands off the keyboard for hours. Would love to catch up with you all more at length when things quiet down in the days following.

Forwarding Emails to Sellers

E-mails will be forwarded to the respective seller(s) immediately to complete the sale and you will be copied. That’s the only way I give out e-mail addresses.

Seller Contact Rules

Please DO NOT reach out to the sellers directly if you know who they are. The sellers know to respond in the order they are received by me to ensure fairness. People who reach out to sellers directly usually cause confusion and animosity. Not cool.

Payment Methods

Payment by PayPal (Friends & Family option) is the preferred method of payment among many glove collectors and hobbyists but that is up to each respective seller. Some sellers prefer Zelle or Venmo. Whichever way the buyer and seller agree to, I would highly recommend paying immediately to seal the deal as many items get multiple responses. Remember, if you have your PayPal account connected to your bank account as the funding source or use your PayPal balance, there are no fees to send money. If you have your PayPal account connected to your credit card, there may be a fee to send money.

Offers and Availability

Offers are fine but NOT recommended on the first night as many gloves get interest from multiple people. Thus, the sellers get multiple e-mails forwarded from me and are more likely to hold out for their price but welcome backup offers nonetheless. If you want to take your chance, then that’s the risk you’ll take. Many of the gloves are sold on the first and second day of the sale. Time is of the essence. If you don’t act quickly, you may be way back in line.

Not an Auction

This is a sales list and not an auction.

Follow-Up Inquiries

In the days that follow, feel free to ask about gloves from previous lists as there are a few here and there that might still be available and those sellers might be more willing to deal than on the first night.
Hope you find something you like and don’t forget to enjoy your own collections and the great hobby in which you are a part. I look forward to corresponding with you all.
